About the role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a permanent SAP Business Analyst to join our Group IT team based at our Shared Services Centre in Wakefield.

The focus of this role is to closely engage with our Operating Divisions/Sites/ Group Functions and bridge the IT system to business requirement function. You will be required to identify opportunities to improve business performance (generate cash), through process improvement and organisational change, enabled by business systems development.

You will support the SAP Process Lead, requiring a high-level understanding of organisation's business applications, industry requirements, global best practices, and strong hands on technical SAP product knowledge especially in SAP Production Planning (PP-PI) and Materials Management (MM). You will serve as a liaison with the business to document and create solution designs, ensuring integration with other SAP modules, master data alignment, adherence with both SAP and non-SAP security architecture/audit guidelines, and global/regional system configuration. You will also be required to work on non-SAP projects in a business analysis capacity.

Key aspects of the role
  • Lead the process of drawing out and understanding Customer’s business change needs and assessing the impact.
  • Capturing, documenting and analysing requirements that will be the foundation for delivering change.
  • Maximising business benefits wherever possible via standard Group-wide solutions.
  • Ensure the system change requests adhere to the SAP Global template for all SAP projects.
  • Supporting the communication and delivery of those requirements with both internal and 3rd party support partners.

Experience/Knowledge/Qualifications;
  • 5+ years of experience in SAP PP-PI and MM applications
  • Strong knowledge of the integration of SAP PP-PI and MM with other SAP modules
  • Exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies and processing environments
  • Knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes
  • Good knowledge of financial models and budgeting
  • Skilled in requirements gathering, process mapping techniques and stakeholder management
  • Experience working in manufacturing industry is desired, Food industry is ideal
  • Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Experience in delivering projects in a finance function
  • Experience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies required
