Role Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Packaging Assistant to join our Nottingham Pizza Factory, This site produces over 1 million pizzas per week for a number of leading high-street retailers. This site is a fast paced, dynamic and ‘no two days the same’ environment; making it a great place to work.
As the Packaging Assistant you will play a leading role on site relating to all packaging matters.  You will coordinate the timely supply of cardboard and plastic film from our suppliers, ensuring all products we use are in line with stringent environmental guidelines and regulations.  Working closely with our key customers generating packaging solutions in response to new product briefs.
Your day to day duties will include:
  • Generating new packaging products in response to briefs
  • Ensuring that packaging products meet set requirements and specifications
  • Producing samples to try out different materials and designs
  • Liaising with marketing, purchasing and production staff
  • Running trials to check packaging for suitability and testing for performance under various conditions
About you:

You’ll be an experienced packaging specialist from a food production or FMCG background fully conversant with technical and environmental guidelines.  You’ll be a confident communicator with the ability to maintain and develop supplier relationships.  You should have self-assured approach and able to work autonomously when required.
