Role Overview
 
Our established Carlisle site has up to 1500 employees, spanning over 3 Factories across 2 sites. The site produce around 90 million meals annually with 150 products made daily over a 7 day operation along with a turnover of £140 million.

As a Process Technologist you will relish being a hands-on team player.  You will be customer focused and understand the customers’ needs better than anybody else.  You will strive to improve quality and service for internal and external stakeholders. 
 
Working as part of a close knit team you will report to the site Development Manager. Working alongside your NPD colleagues - your main focus will be to assist the Process Development Department in all development trials in line with the customer critical paths and all internal projects.  You will organise and carry out the necessary factory trials and to analyse current processes with a view to making efficiency improvements.  Liaising with internal and external customers and suppliers you will ensure products are to the highest
 
About you:
  • From a food production background – ideally chilled/short shelf life
  • Strong communicator
  • Resourceful and happy with independent working
  • Focussed and excellent time management
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Reasonable level of computer literacy
  • Analytical
  • Organised and happy to work on many projects at the one time
  • Ideally degree educated in either food science or food technology
