The division employs over 7,000 people working in a chilled environment to process poultry products which are then marketed to UK consumers via major retailers.

About the Role
Our production sites are the core to our business and not only do they keep our business running, but they feed the UK every day. Our Flagship UK Poultry site in Scunthorpe produces a third of the chicken used by the business. We need a Maintenance Engineer to work in a hands on role, within a team of experienced Engineers and contribute yourself to keep our site running 24/7. Some of your key responsibilities will be:
  • Work efficiently to ensure all refrigeration engineering work is completed in a safe manner
  • Conduct continuous monitoring of systems to identify and implement improvements
  • Carry out machine inspections, conduct relevant repairs or improvements and carry our preventative maintenance on equipment
About You
You will ideally be an experienced Engineer with a passion for improvement and development however we are also able to provide the right person with the support and development in order to learn this role, considering they have relative engineering/facilities/maintenance experience. You will also:
  • Be either a fully qualified engineer with Apprenticeship/City & Guilds Level 3/Equivalent (desirable) OR an experienced Technician
  • Have some knowledge of Refrigeration Engineering (but full training will be provided)
  • Have experience in a food/manufacturing/production environment
  • Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
