An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced BI Developer to join our Wakefield shared service centre at 2 Sisters Food group.

About The Role:
 
The BI Developer will be responsible for the maintaining and improving existing BI Content concentrating on the efficiency and stability. They will be responsible for undertaking work involved in large and small scale Delivery projects, such as the Business Objects development and SQL Server Development.
 
The BI Developer establishes check points at regular intervals to verify efficacy and efficiency of the work in progress and to maintain detailed documentation for all developments and work undertaken. 
 
The BI Developer will utilize established BI development and management tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to SAP Business Objects/Data Services and MS SQL Server.
Accountable for optimization-focused design to ensure that all BI Solutions are designed with high-availability, high-impact and high accuracy in mind. Proactive attitude to Quality Assurance, ensuring there is no inconsistency, deviation from specifications or decrease in performance.
 
The BI Developer will create and design a business wide single data source environment with a “best practices” approach to all work involved. They will work closely with service delivery team in deployment of all new releases/changes to the production environment.

About You:

  • Educated to Bachelors Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Must have 3-5 years industry experience in Developing BI Content in SQL Server and ideally Business Objects.
  • Experience of Data Warehousing or Data Warehouse Environments.
  • Technical Knowledge – Experience of a variety of database types.
  • A self motivated, team player, action and results oriented.
  • A Well organized, good communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to successfully work under tight project deadlines.
  • BI Experience ideally
  • Technical Knowledge –  SAP Business Objects, SAP Data Services, SAP Business Warehouse, SQL Server Databases, Microsoft BI Stack, Progress Databases, DB2 Databases, Data Warehousing
